Hey there Whosoevers! It's been a while!
Doing some new things and decided to resurrect this blog!
If you know me, you know that ministry is my heart, particularly when it comes to my LGBT brothers and sisters! Since my last post back in 2011, I was officially licensed as a Minister and am now in line for ordination as an Elder in the Lord's church. God truly knows the plans He has for us, because you couldn't tell me not that long ago that I would be anyone's minister, much less an ordained Elder!
The Word charges us in 2 Timothy 2:15 to study to show ourselves approved, and so, while I am training to become ordained I am also attending New York Theological Seminary as a student in its Christian Ministry certificate program. The end goal is to obtain either a Master of Divinity or a Master of Arts in Religious Education degree. God has yet to reveal which one.
God has also allowed the vision He gave me some years ago to come to fruition by opening to door for me to compile an anthology entitled At the Table: Words of Faith, Affirmation and Inspiration for LGBT Believers of Color.
At the Table… is a collection of devotionals,
testimonies, short stories, poetry, essays and more by LGBT identified
and allied clergy, church leaders and laity from various denominations, designed to bring
messages of hope, love, acceptance, reconciliation and healing to the
Child of God who has been ostracized, criticized and condemned for
walking in their authenticity.
You can purchase your copy here http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/AtTheTable If you would like an autographed copy, please contact me on my Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/SusanWebleyCox or send an email to attanthology@gmail.com.
It is my intention to do better with posting on this blog, but it would help for some interaction as motivation! I look forward to having discourse with you all on life, ministry and everything in between!
Until next time, be blessed!
