You are Qualified!

Praise the Lord, Whosoevers!

Whenever I give testimony, I often talk about how grateful I am that God is using me to reach others and teach them about the love of Christ through the various means available to me; Facebook, MySpace, etc. I talk about the opportunities that have been presented to me to speak to and to motivate other women. I am not expertly versed in the Word, yet He allows me to minister to others through it. I am not a mentor but He sees fit to send me young women to counsel. The confidence I have these days did not come easy; I struggled with self doubt and low-self esteem for a long time, and being real with you family, those feelings of inadequacy still come up for me sometimes. However, the Word says to call those things that are not as though they were. When I perceive myself as God sees me, I am able to call myself capable, confident, empowered…and walk in it. I can quite literally do ALL things through Christ!

If you find that there is a calling on your life, whether it is starting a business, stepping into ministry, etc., the task can appear so daunting that it makes you feel small in comparison. I know, I’ve been there! Nevertheless, you must train yourself to see what God sees in you. Like Moses, you may not feel you have the strength or the gift of speech. Like Jonah, you may feel that people will not take you seriously. Like Mary Magdalene, you may feel unworthy because of all of the “not so Christ-like” things you have done in your life. Like Noah, you may feel like people will think you are crazy!

Consider the young David as he offered to take on Goliath. His stature was of no consequence, for he knew that God had given him everything he needed. He knew that God was bigger than any giant was, and that He had his back. In fact, he spoke it to Goliath:

1 Samuel 17:45-47
45 David said to the Philistine, "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 This day the LORD will hand you over to me, and I'll strike you down and cut off your head. Today I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. 47 All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves; for the battle is the LORD's, and he will give all of you into our hands."

Whosoever, believe that when God calls you, He’s going to equip you. You don’t need a PhD. You don’t need 25 years of experience in the field. You do not need to be eloquent, charming or even likable (well maybe just a little likable LOL!). You don’t need to know all the right people, or belong to the most prestigious clubs. You don’t need to live in the best neighborhoods or drive the fanciest cars. You don’t have to be wearing the latest trend in fashion. In fact, you can be homeless and living in a cardboard box. You can be filthy and you might even smell a little, but when God calls you, He’s going to clean you up, comb your hair, give you brand new clothes, put you in contact with the right people, place you at the right place at the right time. He’s going to transform you and give you to tools you need to fulfill the destiny that has been pre-ordained for you. So when you’re faced with something that seems much bigger than yourself, trust God. In Him, you are more than qualified to do the job. Who needs a PhD when you’ve got a GOD (God Ordained Diploma)?

Until next week, be blessed!

Sue

  4. Sue,

    This blessed me!
I've learned, it's not who you KNOW, it's who you ARE! And what God says is for YOU, is for YOU, even with all of the weapons formed against you...that never prosper.

    You're Already Blessed,
    Tiffany
